Description
Anoplate is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer. This position will collaborate with operations, support functions, and the customer to assure that desired product quality requirements are communicated and customers receive the highest quality finishing product on time. When process problems occur, lead efforts to identify cause and implement process improvements. The Quality Engineer will be leading cross functional teams and manage project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group root cause analysis processes when necessary.
- Lead daily MRB and ensure timely follow up.
- Communicate with customers regarding quality concerns and provide corrective action responses.
- Proactively initiate and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Lead auditor on Internal Audit Team.
- Assist with external ISO audits and response to corrective actions.
- Lead quality related customer visits (check ins, audits, surveys, instructional, etc.)
- Ability to use statistical techniques and problem solving methods to measure, achieve, and continuously improve processes and customer loyalty metrics.
- Extensive experience in forming and leading cross functional teams.
- Write new procedures as required and train others on newly written procedures.
- Assist with training and development of Quality Assurance Inspectors or new Quality Engineers.
Requirements
Your Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Advanced root cause analysis, problem solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of statistics (SPC, Probability, cPK, pPK)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills to lead and work with operational teams, internal and external stakeholders.
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Superior project management and time management skills.
- Self -motivated with a positive and professional attitude.
- Lean Understanding (as a guide for implementing improvements) and demonstrated ability to create flow diagrams and process maps.
- Blueprint Reading skills
- Reading and interpretations skills - ability to interpret technical documentation & testing specifications.
- Technical writing skills
Education / Experience:
- B.S. in technical science (chemical, environmental, or manufacturing science preferred) plus 3- 5 years experience in manufacturing.
