As a Quality Engineer, you'll focus
on maintaining high manufacturing standards through rigorous inspection, documentation management, and compliance auditing. You will lead cross-functional investigations using root cause analysis methodologies like 8D and Fishbone to eliminate non-conformances and drive continuous improvement via Lean Six Sigma projects. The position requires a technical background, proficiency in mechanical measurement and SPC tools, and the ability to train production staff on quality best practices and blueprint reading.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and adherence specifications.
- Lead cross-functional investigations into internal and external non-conformances.
- Utilize 5-Why, Fishbone, or 8D methodologies to identify the source
of failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Manage improvement projects (Lean/Six Sigma) to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing variances.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Author and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standard work documents within the Quality Document Control System to ensure manufacturing consistency.
- Conduct internal audits of work procedures to ensure compliance.
