OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: 

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for both the quality assurance and quality control of all Fulton suppliers.  This position prepares plans and executes activities pertaining to the evaluation and improvement of suppliers as well as the disposition of products received from suppliers in a manner that is consistent with the company values and operating philosophy. 


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Implement, maintain, and      improve systems for quality standards with suppliers globally to assure      the production and delivery of the highest quality products.
  • Lead the Supplier Corrective      Action Request Process (SCAR) to contain and resolve the quality issues at      hand. 
  • Support the reduction of      costs through identification of systemic defects, variability, and      nonconforming material.   
  • Contribute to supplier      audits, evaluation, and the qualifying of both new and existing vendors      domestically and internationally. 
  • Review and recommend      dispositions on suspect and rejected materials. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):

  • 5+ years minimum experience      in engineering, procurement or a related field in a manufacturing      environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree in      engineering or related field required 
  • Lean / World Class      Manufacturing experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing– The body is supported by legs and feet for extended periods of time.
  • Sitting – The body is supported by buttocks and back and employee needs to remain seated for extended periods of time.
  • Medium Work –Walking and standing may be required more than 50% of the day.
