Responsibilities:
- Lead PPAP and prototype submissions, including documentation of dimensional and material test results to meet customer requirements.
- Own incoming raw material quality—review certifications, perform inspections, and release materials for production.
- Investigate supplier quality issues, driving corrective actions, RMAs, and continuous improvement with suppliers.
- Perform laboratory testing on products and raw materials following customer and internal specifications.
- Support customer complaint resolution by coordinating containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Drive internal quality systems including layered audits, dock audits, and compliance with customer-specific requirements.
- Analyze scrap and nonconformance data to identify trends, reduce costs, and lead improvement initiatives across the plant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality (automotive, metal fabrication, injection molding, or similar environments preferred).
- Strong knowledge of PPAP, SPC, GD&T, MSA, and ISO/IATF standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
- Experience with quality tools and systems (Excel, Minitab, Gage Track, SAP or similar ERP systems).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support supplier or customer quality needs.
