Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary source of contact with customer/supplier representatives. Maintain a positive relationship, deliver excellent communication, and support and attend meetings, reviews, and audits.
- Ensure that the quality systems are maintained in accordance with ISO9000:2015 standards.
- Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Perform root cause analysis of technical quality problems.
- Utilize and apply the appropriate APQP tools (e.g. Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, SPC).
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering, or similar
- Experience leading teams in troubleshooting issues in manufacturing
- Deep understanding of APQP and SPC concepts both theoretical and practical application, CMM equipment and data analysis, problem statements and root cause analysis, and common problem-solving methods and techniques
- Able to read and understand blueprints - Machining experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of fixture design concepts
- Competency in basic metrology equipment and measuring tools such as calipers, comparators, micrometers, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Adept in analyzing data such as normal distribution charts, trend charts, control charts, etc.
- Expertise in analysis and problem solving
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Efficient in organization and planning
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering with 1 year of Quality Engineering experience; or 5 years of equivalent Quality Engineering experience or similarly related function
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification, such as Certified Quality Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, CQE, etc.
- Experience operating a CMM
