Job Overview:

Quality Engineer

We are working with a manufacturing client that is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. This role will be responsible for supporting quality initiatives, driving process improvements, conducting engineering studies, and helping resolve production and quality-related issues. It’s a strong opportunity for someone with a background in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering who enjoys working cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment. Based on the uploaded description, the core responsibilities include quality engineering support, process capability analysis, gage R&R work, root cause problem-solving, and participation in continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality engineering activities to support cost reduction, process improvement, and work simplification
  • Conduct studies to identify process failure points and reduce associated risk
  • Perform process capability studies to determine how well manufacturing processes meet engineering requirements
  • Conduct Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and implementation of recommended improvements
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues by partnering with engineering, technical, and production teams
  • Use root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods to address manufacturing and quality concerns
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support special projects and additional quality-related tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field

  • Open to candidates who are currently working toward a 4-year engineering degree, depending on experience level

  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or quality engineering environment preferred

  • Knowledge of:- Process capability studies

    • Gage R&R / measurement system analysis
    • Root cause analysis and corrective action methods
    • Continuous improvement / process improvement techniques
  • ASQ Certification is a plus

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization

Preferred Background

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
