We are currently adding a Quality Engineer to our growing quality department in Little Chute, WI. This is a 1st shift position, working full-time on-site Monday-Friday, including some travel between our LIttle Chute and Appleton locations. The Quality Engineer will use their technical skills to create inspection protocol for coordinate-measuring machines, visual inspection devices, and other test and inspection equipment. They fill roles as data gatherers, analysts, and reporters, using custom-written programs to generate inspection and test data for manufacturing, engineering, quality, and customers.

Responsibilities
- Assist with programming CMMs and visual inspection equipment to effectively inspect a wide variety of parts.
- Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerance frames and translate them into inspection program output to ensure manufactured products meet internal engineering and customer dimensional specifications.
- Develop test methods and part fixtures to facilitate product inspection.
- Prepare and maintains Customer Documentation Packages for products including: PPAPs, ISIRs, FAIRs, Quality Plans, Capability Studies, and MSAs.
- Develop and maintain plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned projects.
- Support Engineering and Production in the analysis and interpretation of inspection data.
- Develop and deploy efficient processes for the data collection, documentation, record keeping, and reporting of inspection/test data and technical data packages.
- Understand, support, and improve existing metrology technologies and investigate, develop, and implement new technologies.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in 3D CMM programming preferred (Zeiss Calypso sw. preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T specifications and reading of technical drawings
- Experience with Technical Data Packages for parts and products
- Must be able to work independently and make sound judgments regarding work methods and tools.
- Good computer skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Projects, and Excel.
- 3 – 5 years, a combination of education and experience with on-the-job training.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Certificates, Licenses, Preferred Registrations
- CMM – Calypso and/or PC-DMIS
- GD&T experience, formal training preferred
- Training in Lean Principles preferred
