Work Performed:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting the Corporate Director of Quality in the operation of the companies ISO 9001 Quality System.

• Review internal rejections
• Root Cause Identification
• Perform quality audits and conduct Internal Auditing Training
• Documentation Control
• PPAP including SPC, Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, GD&T
• Corrective Action generation, response and follow up (preferably 8D)
• In-process discrepant material disposition
• Return material authorization and disposition
• Customer/Supplier communication/correspondence in relation to discrepant product

Requirements

• Experience in Metal Stamping or Machining 
• Exposure to heat treatment and plating processes a plus 
• Working knowledge of PPAP’s 
• Proficiency with micrometers, digital and dial calipers, height gauges, gauge pins, protractors, hardness testers and optical comparators
• Blueprint Reading 
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing 
• Statistical process control 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Detail oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivation to learn and develop with WLS
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with an ISO9001 quality system
