The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving the plant quality systems to ensure consistent production of products that meet established standards and customer specifications. This role focuses on process improvement, root cause analysis, and maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 17025 standards
Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformances, applying root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, supply chain) to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement
Analyze process and product data using statistical tools to identify trends and improve product quality and reliability
Develop, implement, and monitor quality control plans, inspection criteria, and testing procedures
Participate in internal and external audits, supporting audit preparation and closure of findings
Ensure laboratory and inspection activities comply with ISO 17025 requirements
Support supplier quality activities, including evaluation, issue resolution, and performance monitoring
Assist in training production and quality personnel on quality standards, tools, and best practices
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies
Monitor key quality metrics and report performance to stakeholders
Support new product introduction and process validation activities
Participate in environmental and reliability testing activities as required
Maintain documentation and records in line with company and regulatory standards
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
3–7 years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015 standards
Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality tools (SPC, Minitab, etc.)
Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred but not required)
Internal auditing experience is desirable
Understanding of metrology and inspection methods is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., BPCS) is a plus
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
Metrics-driven mindset with attention to detail
Compensation:
$76,000 - $95,000 annual
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
