Role Summary:

 

The Quality Engineer is responsible for overseeing the Customer Care problem reporting and resolution process to ensure timely resolution of customer issues related to product nonconformance, delivery issues, and other concerns. They verify the effectiveness of corrective actions, monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and customer scorecards, and initiate actions to improve unsatisfactory results. Additionally, the Quality Engineer oversees the supplier monitoring process, including supplier management system evaluation, production product approval process, and issues performance scorecards.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Customer Care problem reporting and resolution process to address customer issues related to product nonconformance, delivery issues, and other concerns.
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken to address customer issues.
  • Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and customer scorecards to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Initiate actions to improve unsatisfactory results and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the supplier monitoring process, including supplier management system evaluation and production product approval process.
  • Issue performance scorecards to suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate degree with 2 years of related experience, American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification with 3 years of related experience, or 5 years of working experience in a quality or technical role.
  • Working knowledge of 8D problem-solving methodology, DMAIC improvement methodology, 5-why root cause analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), control plans, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Licenses or certifications: None required; Six Sigma Black Belt and/or ASQ Quality Engineer certification preferred.
