Job Overview:

 

Objective:    Perform analysis, research and testing to promote a technical understanding of the processes involved in 

                  quality. Promote and be actively involved in the process improvement activities, perform duties as assigned 

                  by management in regard to new product development, part approval processes, and calibrations and test 

                  methodologies.


  Minimum Requirements:

          2 Year Technical Degree

          4 Year Degree Preferred

          2 Years Manufacturing Quality Experience

          Experience in Automotive Quality Systems ISO/TS

          Experience writing and maintaining Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams and Quality Work 

           Instructions

          Experience in problem solving techniques, specifically 3 Legged, 5 Why and 8D

          Experience in PPAP process


  Job Requirements:

          Working knowledge of MS office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.…)

          High level of verbal and written communications skills

          Ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities

          Working knowledge of AIAG standard practices

          Ability to work with minimal supervision

          Working knowledge of calibration system


  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

          Verification and validation APQP activities

          Management of PDI's calibration system

          Review and submission of all customer PPAP requests

          Review and approval of all vendor PPAP submissions

          Vendor returns and associated Corrective Actions

          Participating in PDI's LPA and internal system audit processes

          Supervising facility Quality Technicians

          Maintenance of PDI's PFD, Control Plans, Gage R&R's, and Inspection Systems

          Communicating with the customer in regards to APQP, Corrective Action, Product/Process Improvement

          Participating in PDI's supplier improvement program

          Performing on site vendor evaluations

          Participating in PDI's continuous improvement process

          Other duties as assigned by the facility Quality Manager

          Manage and maintain the planning and execution of PDI's verification and validation processes from RFQ through 

           production to ensure proper controls are consistently utilized by both PDI and our vendors.



Pay Range: $65,000 to $85,000 a year

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
