The Quality Engineer will be responsible for identifying root causes of failures and working with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. This role plays a critical part in improving product quality, reducing warranty costs, and enhancing customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyze warranty claims to determine root causes of failures.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve warranty-related issues.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product reliability.
- Track and report warranty trends, identifying patterns and opportunities for product improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to address design or production issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce warranty costs and enhance product performance.
- Ensure compliance with customer warranty policies and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and documentation for warranty claims and resolution processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in warranty analysis, quality engineering, or a related role in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, etc.).
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and warranty management processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar software).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and travel as needed.
