Our customer located in Bluffton, Ohio is seeking to hire a strong Senior Quality Engineer on an indefinite contract position. This associate needs to be detailed oriented, great work ethic, self-directed, and capable of hitting the ground running.

Open-Ended Contract position

Our customer located in Bluffton, Ohio is seeking to hire a strong Senior Quality Engineer on an indefinite contract position. This associate needs to be detailed oriented, great work ethic, self-directed, and capable of hitting the ground running.
To help drive excellence in the quality department, this individual will:
- Be responsible for ensuring products produced meeting customer quality standards
- Identify root cause and implement permanent corrective actions for product quality issues
- Lead, develop, and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention in a team environment
- Train and support groups of shop floor associates with quality assurance
This position would be on a day shift and perform some of the following tasks:
- Focus on PPAP document packages
- Construction of Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flows, gage MSAs
- Inspection Instruction Worksheets (forms that are used on the production floor by inspectors and operators to guide them on how and what inspections to complete)
- Training Quality Inspectors
- Setting up part folders,
- PSWes (problem solving with every step)
- assembling the entire PDF document with ADOBE document merger
- Any other sidebar projects
Required experience of the Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prefer at least 7 years' experience as a Senior level QE, preferably in a metal's environment or equivalent experience
- Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
