Jabil has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our tenured team at our injection molding facility in Atlanta, GA!
Jabil Atlanta has about 52,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The manufacturing capabilities of the team at Jabil Atlanta enable this location to provide complete product solutions to our customer. Located in one of America’s largest logistical hubs, the tenured team at Jabil Atlanta helps customers innovate and bring products to market quickly and reliably. The site offers build-to-order manufacturing service for a high-profile customer.

How will you make an impact?
As a Quality Engineer, you will represent the quality function of technical support, in conjunction with other internal support groups. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured in the injection molding facility meet the highest quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, and collaborating with various departments to resolve quality issues.
What will you do?
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Review suppliers, internal, and customer non-conformances, coordinating and tracking the effectiveness of corrective/proactive action efforts.
- Document Control responsibilities. Conduct periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files.
- Interface with all departments as applied to the Policies and Procedures.
- Provide support for all quality-related quoting activities.
- Inspects, measures, and tests components per blueprint and Product Plan requirements, and generates data summaries and reports.
- Monitors data using applicable software.
- Oversee instrument calibration systems and related calibration tasks.
- Maintain and update control limits in SPC files. Create new SPC and PFF files as needed.
- Creates applicable SOPs and provides training as needed.
- Performs data entry tasks as required.
- Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned based on the department's requirements.
- Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
- Use Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Forms, and Word to create and present reports and information.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Travel may be required.
How will you get here?
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015
- Experience developing and maintaining inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
- Experience with investigating and completing Corrective and Preventive Actions
- Experience with CMM, Vision System, calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, and other applicable measuring equipment.
- Strong understanding and analytical skills with SPC control charts: XBar-R, Histograms, Box-Whisker, etc., process capability studies, Cpk’s, and other statistical analysis applications.
- Previous experience with injection molding is highly desired
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of blueprints, and engineering specifications interpretation.
- Knowledge of the AQL sampling process.
- Preferred experience with Food Safety Compliance requirements.
- Preferred experience with internal and external audits.
- Strong problem-solving methodology.
- Preferred experience performing GR&R’s
- Ability to oversee instrument calibration systems and related calibration tasks preferred.
- Preferred experience with PC-DMIS metrology software and programming
