Description
The Quality Control Technician III (QC Tech III) is a key member of the Elliott Manufacturing Quality Control department. Under little to no supervision, the QC Tech III works independently to perform intermediate to advanced inspection duties while maintaining company safety and quality expectations. The QC Tech III will inspect materials, parts and products at all different stages of production as well as record observations and make recommendations for continuous improvement. The QC Tech III will also assist and train less skilled and experienced technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform layout inspection by measuring dimensions, such as length, height, and distance between reference points using precision instruments.
· Perform verification on incoming, in-process, and outgoing products
· Visually compare work pieces against one another to assess/detect manufacturing variations in processes.
· Maintain records of inspection and prepare lists of defects.
· Interact with other departments to ensure compliance with specifications
· Locate reference point(s) on part and measure dimensions such as angle, arc, and radii, using combinations of aids, such as surface plate parallel bars, angle plates, gauge blocks, plug pins, V blocks, sine bars, and precision measuring instruments.
· Assist as needed with problem solving and root cause analysis
· Maintain a clean work area to ensure a high standard of safety and appearance.
· May be required to work overtime.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements
Qualifications:
· Intermediate to advanced FAI, FAR, PPAP abilities.
• Demonstrate a high standard of work ethics, by example.
• Must be self-sufficient & team oriented.
· Able to operate manual pallet jack & pull/ push 50 lbs.
· Ability to analyze, communicate and present information accurately and succinctly.
· Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and professional development.
· Strong work ethic and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
· Able to adjust to changing priorities – ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
· Highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.

· Proficiency using electronic spreadsheets, word processing, preferably Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
· 1-2 years of machine shop experience with additional specialized training or certifications preferred.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
