Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring products meet Koozie Group quality standards and customer expectations throughout the manufacturing and decorating process. This role performs inspections, verifies specifications, identifies defects, supports process improvements, and collaborates closely with production teams to maintain product quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on products throughout production and prior to shipment.
- Verify product specifications including print quality, color consistency, alignment, dimensions, and packaging standards.
- Approve and document First Article samples and in-process inspections.
- Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns or defects to production leadership.
- Assist in troubleshooting production and quality issues to minimize scrap and rework.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
- Accurately complete quality documentation, reports, and system entries.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving efficiency.
- Promote and support a safe work environment including proper PPE usage and safe work habits.
- Work collaboratively with production associates, supervisors, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Assist in training associates on quality expectations and inspection processes as needed.
- Maintain organized and clean inspection and work areas.
- Consistently demonstrate Koozie Group People Powers through professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and positive communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Previous manufacturing or quality control experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or defects
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and motivated attitude with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks as needed
- Ownership, accountability, and a strong sense of urgency are critical for success in this role
