Job Description

As a 3rd Shift Quality Control Technician, you will preform quality tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. You will report to a Quality Manager and work onsite at our Adrian, MI plant. This shift is 11pm to 7:30am.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform QC testing of incoming production samples
• Communicate with production, quality control and technical associates
• Ensure that all products and raw materials tested meet PPG Quality standards
• Input data/results into various electronic databases
• Test Finished Goods over a time period - recheck viscosity program
• Remove & recycle older samples into scrap containers
• Provide batch adjustment information to associates by walking through the production area

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. required
• Basic math skills and computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
• 1+ year of practical laboratory knowledge and/or experience preferred
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary
