Description
General Description:
This position is a technician responsible for ensuring products are manufactured, inspected, and tested according to company procedures, often involving training, coordinating quality activities, and troubleshooting issues.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Demonstrate daily evidence of continuous improvement efforts of 5S and autonomous maintenance.

- Solve problems daily by working together as an engaged team member
- Help in the relief of breaks as needed
- Maintain records and documentation
- Receive and test incoming raw materials to verify they meet requirements by comparing test results to tolerance limits
- Verify all QC instruments are cleaned, maintained, and calibrated according to equipment Device Description SOPs
- Obtain in-process product samples by coordinating with operators and using a forklift when necessary
- Test final product samples in a timely manner as to allow production to run efficiently and meet sales demand
- Use Good Laboratory Practices, methods, and instruments to ensure final product meets testing requirements and specifications
- Download and verify daily Marcotte batch data and use and Excel Macro Program to extract and save the data
- Communicate immediately to Operators, Supervisors, or any member of Management any circumstances which may affect quality or are considered questionable and unsafe.
- Document and store results in an organized manner on Data Collection Forms, Excel Spreadsheets, and the QC Access Data Base.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment by properly identifying and storing ingredients, supplies and products as directed
- Provide feedback on improvements for QC Test Procedures and Device Description
- Work with R&D to conduct Formulation Development testing
- Train new Quality Control Associates and Interns
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Experience:
- QA/QC Experience preferred
- Average Computer Competency (e.g., Excel, Word, and Access)
- Team Player works well with others
- Good communicator verbally and in writing
- Ability to multitask
- Detail oriented and well organized
- Available to work different shifts and overtime as required
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent or 2-year technical degree and applicable experience
Physical Requirement:
· This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lifting less than 10.
