QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Summary

We are seeking a “best in class” Quality Control Technician to p erform analytical tests on samples, using instrumentation and equipment as well as performing calculations to measure such factors as purity, size and hardness, applying arithmetic . The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) This is a safety sensitive position.

• Determine consistency of measurements and color of product through mathematical formulas, processes, and procedures; weights and measurements as instructed
• Test and conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished products, using variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electrical meters, and handling equipment in performing duties
• Follow all required work safe practices including lock-out tag-out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas

Skills and Experience Required for Success

• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other standards
• Must be able to quickly identify materials
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; OR one to three months related experience AND/OR training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
