**Summary

**

This is a 1st

shift position working in the Quality Control Laboratory to perform various tests on manufactured product samples to ensure product meets customer specifications. Reviews and approves raw material COAs. Supports the troubleshooting of raw material and product manufacturing issues with the support of the Process Chemist. Enters test results electronically and interfaces with a computer regularly.

**Essential Functions

**

  1. Perform routine QC tests for coatings, feeders, scrubber solution, resins, and other analyses as required.
  2. Input data into various software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP.
  3. Support the production team with timely tests and analysis.
  4. Verify, analyze, and review incoming product COAs (certificates of analysis)
  5. Perform tests on raw material as required.
  6. Create outgoing COAs for customers.
  7. Control and maintain product retain area.
  8. File documents as needed.
  9. Perform verifications and calibrations of lab equipment and maintain calibration records.
  10. Monitor inventory of lab supplies and order when needed.
  11. Participate in investigations pertaining to customer complaints and non-conforming products and raw materials.
  12. Participate in continuous improvement activities at the site as needed.

**Education and Experience

**

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. 1-3 years of experience in quality control department.
  3. ISO 9001 and/or QMS (Quality Management System) experience is preferred.

**Work Environment

**

Must be able to wear the correct PPE that is required at all times for the Job. Hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection and steel toe shoes. Ability to be respirator fit tested may be required.

Must have the ability to prepare for and work in any outside weather conditions. For example: hot, cold, rain, snow, etc. Ability to be on and off your feet a lot. Ability to multitask.

Aptitudes: Must possess the ability to understand the meaning of words and their ideas, as well as instructions and their underlying principles. Perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately and possess eye-hand motor coordination.
