Job Overview:

*We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team at Glenn Metalcraft Inc. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that quality systems are effectively maintained and continuously improved to meet company and customer standards. This role involves verifying product conformance to specifications, developing preventive measures for nonconforming products, and driving initiatives to uphold quality excellence.*

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate closely with production teams to verify that all products meet established quality requirements and specifications.

•Analyze data and information objectively, making decisions that align with the best interests of the company and its customers.

•Actively support, promote, and reinforce the principles of the Quality Management System (QMS).

•Hands-on experience and training with CMM for precise measurement and inspection tasks.

•Provide comprehensive training on the use of inspection tools and equipment.

•Ensure that no non-conforming materials pass through the inspection process.

•Maintain inspection records based on inspection plans.

•Assist with resolving non-conforming products in the Quality Hold area.

•Assist with calibration programs.

•Assist in measuring in-process production parts and conducting random quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications.

•Ensure that all parts meet design and print requirements.

•Provide additional support to the quality department and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Quality Control

•High school diploma or equivalent

•ISO experience preferred

•Working knowledge of inspection techniques

Skills and Competencies

• Basic understanding of GD&T preferred

•Background in manufacturing and manufacturing procedures

•Communication skills – verbal, written, interpersonal

•Computer skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

•Ability to prioritize effectively

Physical Requirements

•Lift document storage boxes up to 25 lbs. occasionally

•Ability to stand for up to 10 hours

•Excellent hand/eye coordination

•Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools

•Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina

•Consistently wear personal protective equipment

•Sitting for extended periods of time

•Regular use of telephone and email for communication

•Ability to walk short distances

The expected base pay range for this position is between $18 and $22 per hour.The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
