Sensient is growing and offers strong opportunities for career growth. We are seeking a   Quality Control Supervisor to join our Colors team. In this role, you will lead and actively participate in laboratory testing to ensure products meet Sensient Colors, Food and Drug Administration, and international standards, while supervising and developing the Quality Control team.

What you will do

• Lead, train, and develop a team of quality control technicians, including cross training and annual proficiency evaluations 
• Review results, approve intermediate samples, and recommend corrective actions for problem batches
• Ensure all laboratory instruments are properly calibrated and verified each day
• Conduct investigations and lead projects related to out-of-specification results, customer inquiries, shelf life reviews, and delivery concerns
• Support root cause analysis activities and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Monitor laboratory performance measures, improve efficiency, and promote a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science field
• Ideally 5 or more years of experience in a laboratory environment
• Strong preference for experience in a commercial or manufacturing laboratory, with a solid understanding of regulated manufacturing standards and data integrity practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and sound judgment in a fast paced environment
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to lead while remaining a supportive team member 
• Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
