Description

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work – Typical hours are Monday through Friday; 6:00a.m.- 2:30p.m. Work hours as required by the contract. Hours may include evenings, nights, and or weekends.

 

Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED and 1-3 years of quality control and/or custodial work experience required. Minimum one year experience working with developmentally disabled preferred and/or other disabilities. Knowledge of custodial operations and best practices associated with Quality Control. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer skills necessary, especially MS Excel and Office Suite products. Experience in filing, posting, and record keeping. General knowledge of government regulations, forms and operating procedures regarding quality control is desirable. Must be able to work on feet for an extended period of time. Valid New York State Driver’s License.             

 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance – Authorized to work in the United States and pass all background clearances.

 

Summary/Objective - Perform quality inspections of procedures and performance relating to aspects of customer service and accuracy of the overall custodial operations of the Agency’s Federal Custodial contract to ensure quality performance is met in accordance with the contract Performance Requirements Summary (PRS) and Quality Control Program (QCP).

 

Essential Functions – Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Perform assigned quality control inspections of all custodial functional areas associated with the contract, to include portions of recycling pickups.
  2. Follow the Quality Control Plan (QCP) for the measurement and inspection of deliverable services (methods such as random sampling, 100% sampling and planned sampling).
  3. Work closely with Management and other personnel to reduce deficiencies and improve quality through analysis and correction of the causes of defects. At times, this position may require interaction with Government personnel, to include the Contracting Officer Representative.
  4. Attend meetings with the Project Manager (PM) to discuss inspection results, measurement criteria and evaluate services being performed.
  5. Prepare quality control reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual), which identify not only the inspections result, yet also areas for improvement and provide recommendations on changes in workflow and/or processes.  These reports will be submitted to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
  6. Perform duties with limited direct supervision.
  7. Maintain files of documents used and prepared to include all supporting documentation.
  8. Assist the Project Manager in the direction of and assist in training of custodial personnel.
  9. Perform or ensure that a daily safety inspection of your site(s) is conducted to minimize and address any possible safety hazards and to ensure all equipment is being utilized safely and properly. Areas or buildings that are under the control of the Federal Government shall be reported to the Project Manager immediately.

Supervisory Responsibility – This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Travel – Travel around Fort Drum to conduct inspections in buildings that are being serviced.

 

Work Environment - This job operates in a professional office environment as well as buildings that are included in the contract. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
