We are looking for a responsible Quality Control Inspector with CMM Programming experience to perform first article, in-process and final inspections of complex tight tolerance precision parts. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail, will be reliable, and committed to this position. An in-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards and measuring is essential as you will be a firm advocate of quality in our business.
Job Responsibilities (Daily operations include, but are not limited to:)
- Program and operate CMM and video inspection equipment for first piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Manage and maintain database of CMM and video inspection programs
- Maintain inspection equipment including probe and machine calibrations, periodic physical maintenance and software/hardware updates
- Identify and implement best work holding practices on a job by job basis; aid in design/procurement of work holding fixtures
- Interpret and communicate CMM results to support production
- Train production personnel in proper use of measuring equipment and interpretation of program results
- Perform inspections using a variety of hand measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Assist in the development of work instructions/SOP’s as needed; other duties as required.

Requirements
Required Skills:
- Must have a strong understanding of GD&T to include datums and alignments
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings / blueprints
- Strong math skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Drive for continuous personal development and ongoing training
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Be a team player as well as a self-starter; dependable with strong work ethic
Desired Skills:
- Previous CMM programming experience
- Experience with MCOSMOS
- Previous machining experience; strong mechanical aptitude
- Previous inspection/metrology experience
- Previous CAD experience
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision
- Work in a production machine shop environment with a moderate level of noise and industrial hazards
- Occasional travel may be required for training/customer visits (less than 5%).
