Our 37,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility in Coatesville, PA features some of the industry’s most technologically advanced machining and quality control equipment. We are looking for a responsible Quality Control Inspector with CMM Programming experience to perform first article, in-process and final inspections of complex tight tolerance precision parts. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail, will be reliable, and committed to this position. An in-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards and measuring is essential as you will be a firm advocate of quality in our business.

Job Responsibilities (Daily operations include, but are not limited to:)

• Program and operate CMM and video inspection equipment for first piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Manage and maintain database of CMM and video inspection programs
• Maintain inspection equipment including probe and machine calibrations, periodic physical maintenance and software/hardware updates
• Identify and implement best work holding practices on a job by job basis; aid in design/procurement of work holding fixtures
• Interpret and communicate CMM results to support production
• Train production personnel in proper use of measuring equipment and interpretation of program results
• Perform inspections using a variety of hand measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Assist in the development of work instructions/SOP’s as needed; other duties as required.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Must have a strong understanding of GD&T to include datums and alignments
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings / blueprints
• Strong math skills 
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Drive for continuous personal development and ongoing training
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail
• Be a team player as well as a self-starter; dependable with strong work ethic

Desired Skills:

•  Previous CMM programming experience
• Experience with MCOSMOS
• Previous machining experience; strong mechanical aptitude
• Previous inspection/metrology experience
• Previous CAD experience

  Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision
• Work in a production machine shop environment with a moderate level of noise and industrial hazards
• Occasional travel may be required for training/customer visits (less than 5%).
