Murray Equipment, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector for our TCS division. Successful candidates will be a dedicated team player and have prior experience in a manufacturing QC Inspection role. This person will be responsible for performing quality inspection of incoming products from outside suppliers, TCS machine shop products. Successful candidates will be motivated, self-directed/ self-starters, mechanically inclined, and well organized. A successful person is detail-oriented and dependable, can follow instructions and consistently produce good work.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs quality inspection of products in accordance with engineering / quality standards utilizing the precision measuring equipment provided
- Performs layout inspection for TCS machine shop with problem solving techniques and machining knowledge.
- Documents appropriate information and traceability of products for quality inspection records.
- Creates and maintains current files for all quality related correspondence.
- Creates and maintains CMM programs
- Creates Quality Reports for nonconforming parts.
- Performs first article approvals for TCS machine shop.
- Performs final inspection for TCS machine shop.
- Assists in continual improvement activities within the machine shop.
- Assists off site machining shop’s Quality Department.
- Performs Quality Inspection on the TCS Production floor.
- Remains current on quality control practices and trends through publications, seminars, conferences, and related trade shows.
- Maintains a “can-do” service attitude in keeping with the vision, goals and key performance indicators set by executive management.
- Uses independent thought processes to set priorities, undertake activities, and solve problems.

Experience & Education:
- Two-year Quality Assurance experience.
- Understanding of use of ERP systems.
- Understanding of use of search terms and research methods for finding information
- Capable of understanding TCS and Murray Equipment product and accessory operation and terminology in a minimum amount of time.
Communication:
- Routinely communicates with production operators; machinists; other technical staff; sales and executive staff using both written and spoken English.
- Does not direct any other staff, but must routinely advise other staff regarding product design and manufacturing methods and instructions.
