In the United States, Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. currently has employees in 4 states including Michigan, Arkansas, West Virginia and California. The Corporate Office resides in Novi, Michigan. Hino assembles medium-duty trucks at its Mineral Wells, West Virginia plant. Its manufacturing facilities in Marion, Arkansas produces axles, knuckles and suspension components for Toyota’s Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia. Hino’s Parts Distribution Center in Mira Loma, California supplies Latin American and Caribbean distributors with genuine Hino service parts. 


We are currently seeking a Quality Control Engineer for our Marion, AR location.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing quality control functions by ensuring effective communications of quality control and quality assurance information between HMMAR, its customers and suppliers to meet/exceed internal and external customer goals. 

Compensation to commensurate with experience applicable to position requirements


  • Responsible for auditing Supplier systems to insure zero flow-out to Hino Arkansas
  • Oversee customer/supplier defect flow-out containment on-site
  • Work with supplier to resolve quality problems in a timely manner while being aware of when countermeasure parts will arrive
  • Consistent/frequent follow-up with suppliers to insure adequate countermeasure are implemented, effective and sustained
  • Audit internal systems and processes to insure compliance with all internal quality and customer compliance
  • Partner with customer/supplier on ECI/PCR implementations
  • Support weekend and off-shift production as necessary
  • Communicate with customer on ongoing activities
  • Train and work with quality engineers



  • Minimum of 2 years of quality experience required
  • Supervisory and training experience preferred
  • Automotive manufacturing environment highly preferred
  • Advanced problem-solving ability  
  • Capable of maintaining high confidentiality
  • Highly organized with solid time management skills
  • Microsoft Excel Skills to include formulas and Pivot Tables
  • Knowledge of TPS and 5S
  • Travel up to 25%


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical or industrial) preferred or equivalent years of production related work experience in welding, machining and/or assembly in an automotive manufacturing environment


  • Knowledge of functions of automobile parts and overall quality requirements
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines/targets
  • Ability identify and effectively resolve problems, based on data collection and analysis to determine root cause
  • Maintain confidentiality of information for all Hino and Customer parts and processes.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar process concepts, primarily through hands on work, observation and research
  • Knowledge of welding and weld inspection, machining and assembly
