Job Title: Kitting - Quality Control

Location: Covington, GA 30014

Duration: 12 months contract (possible extension)

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr on W2

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of products processed at the distribution center in Covington, GA. The QC Technician will ensure that all procedures, inspection/manual procedures, and specifications are adhered to and that products meet visual, physical, and/or dimensional requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify that all products have met current specifications and procedures are up to date prior to initiation of the inspection/kitting process.
• Review and audit all incoming and kitting DHRs to ensure all required documentation is present and filled out correctly prior to release of product.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on a wide variety of products in accordance with procedures and product specifications.
• Ensure that all components are present and accounted for prior to the kitting process.
• Maintain open communication and collaboratively work with the operations team.
• Initiate, follow up, and implement disposition of non-conforming product prior to release.
• Report all deviations from specifications/procedures to Quality Management/Supervisor or designate.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order and properly calibrated prior to use.
• Responsible for receipt, issuance, and maintenance of all controlled documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with adherence to Good Documentation Practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related Quality Control experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to utilize a pallet jack.
• Close vision required.

Work Environment

• Primarily works in a warehouse environment.
• Exposure to fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
• Noise level is quiet to moderate.
