We are seeking a skilled
Quality CMM Technician
to join a collaborative manufacturing team focused on precision, quality, and continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll be responsible for
operating and programming CMM equipment
to inspect parts and components, ensuring products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.
You’ll work closely with
Quality, Production, and Engineering teams, playing a key role in identifying issues, supporting corrective actions, and helping improve inspection and manufacturing processes across the plant.
What You’ll Do
- Operate, program, and maintain
CMM equipment
to perform accurate dimensional inspections
- Write, edit, and optimize
CMM programs
for new and existing parts to ensure repeatable results
- Interpret
engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T
to set up and execute inspections
- Perform
first article, in-process, and final inspections
to verify conformance to specifications
- Use precision measurement tools such as
calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records and reports
- Analyze inspection data, identify trends, and flag potential quality issues
- Communicate inspection results clearly to Quality and Production teams and recommend corrective actions
- Participate in
root cause analysis and corrective action
activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes and quality systems
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CMM equipment and software
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949)
- Assist with internal and external quality audits as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Stay current with advancements in
CMM technology and measurement techniques
What We’re Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a
CMM Technician or Quality Inspector
in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience programming and operating CMMs using
PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software
- Strong knowledge of
GD&T
and blueprint interpretation
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to clearly communicate inspection results and collaborate cross-functionally
- Familiarity with quality standards such as
ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
- Comfortable using computer software including
Microsoft Office and CAD programs
Nice to Have
- Certification in
quality inspection or metrology
- Experience with
3D scanning, laser trackers, or advanced measurement technologies
Education
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in a related field preferred
