Job Overview:

Job Title: Quality Auditor / Borescope Technician

Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Starting Pay: $24.42/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a disciplined, motivated, and detail-oriented associate to fill a 3rd Shift Roaming Auditor position. This role is responsible for performing critical quality inspections, documenting results, and ensuring all units meet established standards. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, maintain accuracy, and adapt to evolving inspection requirements.

This position is backfilling for a potential departure, and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to train with a highly experienced technician before transitioning into the solo role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform borescope inspections as the primary function of the role

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on assigned parts and units

  • Document all inspection findings accurately and efficiently

  • Complete smaller-scale inspections on specific blocks (may be phased out in the near future)

  • Once trained, perform grinding repairs on blocks as required

  • Reinspect and document all repaired units

  • Maintain high levels of quality, consistency, and attention to detail

  • Operate independently on 3rd shift after initial training period

  • Follow all safety and company procedures

Training

  • Initial training conducted by a senior technician on 3rd shift

  • Grinding repair training conducted on 1st shift for approximately 2 weeks

  • After training, the associate will return to 3rd shift to perform full inspection and repair duties

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in quality inspection, borescope, machining, or related technical work preferred

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong documentation and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures

  • Self-motivated and disciplined

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills (including grinding repairs)

You should be proficient in:

  • Blueprint Reading

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Calipers and Micrometers
  • Quality Control Software
