**POSITION DESCRIPTION: **
The QA Auditor reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and works closely with the Operations Team to ensure quality for all products. The QA Auditor aligns with manufacturing, maintenance, technicians, tool room, and others in support of the overall corporate goals and objectives. Candidates will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively while being a positive reflection of corporate values.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: **
Collaborates with management and supervisory personnel from Operations, Continuous Improvement and Engineering to resolve problems affecting product quality; collaboration includes reacting, investigating, and following up for non-conformance issues and working jointly towards resolution.
Provide guidance and plan of action to the manufacturing floor, including quality inspectors, when production events occur as defined by SOPs and lead investigations of non-compliant issues according to procedures as defined by SOPs.
Author other types of quality system documents as directed or assigned by Quality Management.
Collaborates with the other QSS team members and the Skills and Knowledge department to develop and facilitate quality testing and training, including test administration and analytical review of test data to enable targeted training follow-ups.
Consult with Suppliers / Customers to ensure requirements are satisfied.
Facilitate MRP Solutions Commitments and Effectiveness Checks, including initiation, tracking, trending, and closure.
Facilitate / Lead quality specific special projects, customer specific projects, 5S projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Effectively communicate with the Quality Manager and other team members regarding status of work and ongoing projects.
Efficiently perform all inspection and containment duties, SPC duties and other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED
3 solid years of experience in a related industry or discipline is beneficial. Six months parts inspection/auditing are desired.
Basic understanding of quality principles and practices.
Ability to use discretion and make decisions under the guidance and direction of the Quality Supervisor/ISO and Food Safety Facilitator.
Basic knowledge of IQMS navigation (training will be provided).
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Ability to work cooperatively with all team members.
Ability to perform gauge measurements (training will be provided).
Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word beneficial.
Ability to read drawings beneficial.
Ability to differentiate color is necessary.
Ability to effectively multi-task.

**PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: **
While performing the duties, the employee will be required to sit and/or stand, talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands, fingers and arms to feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms. Prolonged standing/walking periods of 12 hours. May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift to 50 pounds.
