Job Description
Job Overview:
The position will require you to work with multiple people within our company. You are responsible for handling technical inspections of component production received from our factories. This includes identifying quality issues, communication with both suppliers and customers, handling returns and documenting and creating reports.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- minimum of 2 years of experience working in a quality assurance/control environment for metal and/or plastic components. Using multiple types of measurement tools including calipers, pin gauges, optical comparator, durometers, etc. Familiarity with materials, surface conditions, and quality standards.
Familiarity with any of the following production methods is preferred - Casting, CNC machining, Stamping, Extrusions, Injection Molding, or Forging
- Have a mechanical aptitude
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team. Must be detailed and multi-task to deadlines provided.
- General knowledge of ISO certification
- Computer skills including MS Excel and Outlook and the ability to work in windows based ERP software. Netsuite is a plus
experience in dealing with customer complaints and vendor rejections of materail is a plus
