Description

The Quality Assurance Technician will provide support to the Quality Assurance Engineer in maintaining the quality management system (QMS), assisting with internal audits, conducting and documenting root cause and corrective actions (RCCA), and ensuring the accuracy of all calibrated measurement equipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning and work instructions review
  • Perform training for quality and production for customer requirements
  • Perform incoming and in-process inspections using hand tools and gauges
  • Maintain and monitor calibration records and coordinate calibration activities
  • Assist in conducting internal audits and audit readiness assessments
  • Support root cause investigations and follow-up on corrective actions
  • Maintain records and prepare documentation in accordance with QMS requirements
  • Support the QA Engineer in First Article Inspections (FAIs) and final inspections
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality departments
  • Help ensure company processes are aligned with AS9100 standards
  • Identify and report quality issues or non-conformances in a timely manner
  • Support training and awareness activities related to quality systems
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Qualifications


EXPERIENCE:

  • Two to three years’ experience in manufacturing quality inspection or quality systems
  • Experience with calibrations and internal auditing preferred
  • Experience with AS9100 and RCCA processes required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.)
  • Knowledge of calibration tracking systems and calibration standards
  • Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and basic GD&T
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Experience conducting or assisting with internal quality audits
  • Basic understanding of RCCA tools (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D, etc.)
  • Ability to support and document corrective and preventive actions
