Position Overview

My client are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the night shift (7pm-7am, 12 hours/shift) to ensure the quality of our products and support their Quality Assurance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of all molded products in the Molding Department
  • Perform sampling and testing of compounds in the Compounding Department
  • Document and maintain quality inspection findings
  • Identify and document non-conformities, holding affected products for investigation
  • Manage hold product investigations and dispositioning
  • Maintain computer records and statuses for all quality activities
  • Manage JDE Inventory records for hold or released products
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Foster positive relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience/training
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write correspondence, and present information effectively
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Good verbal communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands

  • Regular standing and walking
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and smelling
  • Occasional sitting, handling objects, and reaching
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Work Environment

  • Occasional exposure to outside weather and wet/humid conditions
  • Occasional work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Noise level consistent with plant operations
  • Required to wear steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and ear protection on the production floor.

You should be proficient in:

  • Quality Inspection Experience
  • AS9100
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Injection Molding Experience

  • Injection Molding Machine
  • Stamping Press
