Position Overview
My client are seeking a
Quality Assurance Technician
for the night shift (7pm-7am, 12 hours/shift) to ensure the quality of our products and support their Quality Assurance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of all molded products in the Molding Department
- Perform sampling and testing of compounds in the Compounding Department
- Document and maintain quality inspection findings
- Identify and document non-conformities, holding affected products for investigation
- Manage hold product investigations and dispositioning
- Maintain computer records and statuses for all quality activities
- Manage JDE Inventory records for hold or released products
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Foster positive relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers
- Maintain regular attendance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience/training
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write correspondence, and present information effectively
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Forklift experience preferred
- Good verbal communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Demands
- Regular standing and walking
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and smelling
- Occasional sitting, handling objects, and reaching
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Work Environment
- Occasional exposure to outside weather and wet/humid conditions
- Occasional work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Noise level consistent with plant operations
- Required to wear steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and ear protection on the production floor.
You should be proficient in:
- Quality Inspection Experience
- AS9100
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Injection Molding Experience
