Job Overview:

JOB OVERVIEW:

Employee performs inspection and testing procedures throughout various production stages in the manufacturing of snow plow, machine shop, augers, and final inspection before the shipment of the finished product. . Also involves developing and implementing quality assurance protocols and safety regulations to minimize risks and enhance product reliability. Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The position requires continuous monitoring and evaluations of processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma/GED Preferred
  • One-to-Two (1-2) Years Metal Processing Experience Required; Three-to-Six (3-6) Months On-the-Job Training Required
  • ISO Experience, A Plus
  • Experience in leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess dependability to be consistently at work and on time
  • Possess intermediate level reading and math skills including knowledge of fractions and decimal computations
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Possess ability to verify product dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
  • Possess ability to operate equipment to accurately inspect and test raw material and manufactured product(s)
  • Possess ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines and standard operating procedures when handling equipment and precision instruments
  • Possess a “Team” mentality
  • Possess repetitive sitting and/or bending capability during normal phase duties.
  • Possess close visual acuity, near/far vision, and multiple limb coordination
  • Possess light/heavy (5-50 lbs.) lifting capability during normal phase duties

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform a safety evaluation of assigned work station(s) and surrounding area.
  • Inspect products at various stages of processing to ensure adherence to manufacturing specifications.
  • Perform testing procedures on product(s) during or after processing operation to gauge strength, density, durability and conformity to manufacturing specifications.
  • Grade and label raw materials or finished products according to size, thickness, composition or other manufacturing specifications.
  • Complete inspection and test reports.
  • Advise supervisor, process worker, or machine operator of problems and/or product deficiencies.
  • Verify proper tagging/traceability of product at various stages of the manufacturing process
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement in quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
