Salary Range:    $30.00 - $40.00 Hourly

Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises and performs quality checks on incoming materials and of finished products, using laboratory testing equipment where appropriate. Supervises QC laboratory activities related to testing, report preparation and customer issues as assigned.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Manages calibration system or ensures calibration is carried out to planned arrangements.
2. Oversees testing of materials in lab, supervises laboratory techs to ensure proper procedures are followed.
3. Checks and verifies, where applicable, machine setups and paperwork to be sure the most current and accurate information is available to the Machine Operator.
4. Manages customer complaints and notifies QA Manager of significant issues or trends.
5. Keeps neat and orderly work area.
6. Performs all work in a manner providing for safety and health of self and other plant personnel.
7. Must possess good communication skills and legible handwriting.
8. Notifies manager of any potential safety hazards.
9. Performs other jobs and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of company quality requirements and manuals.
  • Knowledge of PC programs preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience as Lab Technician Level II or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • BS degree; OR more than 5 years’ QA work experience in an aerospace or similar manufacturing role
  • Microsoft/Dynamics, Navision experience
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Experience with executing internal audits associated with a Quality Management Specification

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
  • Ability to use manual dexterity for keyboarding, writing, and operating office equipment such as phones, printers, and copiers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through written correspondence.
  • Ability to stand and walk, as well as push, pull, squat, bend, stoop and reach.
  • Ability to push/ pull and lift/carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
