The Quality Assurance Senior Manager is responsible for driving the quality focus across all business functions within the organization. The position is expected to achieve a safety and quality-first leadership position by increasing the hands-on understanding of quality-critical activities and processes throughout the product and service offerings. The Quality Assurance Senior Manager is responsible for developing a service-oriented team to consistently produce high-quality technical support while maintaining all quality standards. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and is based on-site at our facility in Perry, FL.

Requirements
Strategic Leadership & Management:
- Develop and execute the company's quality strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Department team, including hiring, training, performance management, and career development.
- Manage the departmental budget and resources effectively.
- Report on key quality metrics, trends, and initiatives to the executive leadership team.
Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:
- Establish, implement, and maintain a robust and compliant Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure the QMS meets relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development, implementation, and successful attainment of ISO 9001 certification.
- Lead internal and external audits, including those by regulatory bodies and customers, and drive the resolution of any non-conformances.
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Oversee all quality assurance activities, including product testing, inspection, and verification processes.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, such as defect rates, customer complaints, and on-time delivery.
- Implement statistical process control (SPC) and other quality control methodologies to prevent issues.
- Manage the Non-Conformance (NC) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes to ensure effective root cause analysis and resolution.
Continuous Improvement:
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the organization using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains to improve quality and reduce costs.
- Lead cross-functional teams on improvement projects and initiatives.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Ensure all products and processes comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Stay current with evolving quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related regulatory matters.
Customer & Supplier Relations:
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers on quality-related issues and inquiries.
- Oversee the supplier quality management program, including audits and performance monitoring, to ensure the quality of incoming materials and services.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Required Skills & Abilities:

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving (e.g., root cause analysis).
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Change Management: Experience in leading organizational change and fostering a culture of quality.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a scientific discipline, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial role.
- Proven track record of building, implementing, and managing a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS).
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).
- Experience with regulatory compliance and managing regulatory inspections.
- Certifications such as Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) from ASQ, Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar are highly desirable.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials.
- Manual dexterity to evaluate, modify and operate machinery and equipment.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
- Occasionally moves files and boxes of records weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copiers, printers, and phones.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time.
- Must be able to accurately exchange information with co-workers, customers, vendors, and management.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and any other access requirements necessary to enter & work at customer locations.
