We are seeking a detail oriented and technically skilled Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician to support installation and operational quality initiatives in a fast paced manufacturing and construction environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all installation processes, audits, and quality standards are executed efficiently and accurately while supporting continuous improvement efforts across multiple teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting QA/QC programs, conducting audits, working with contractors, and applying Lean methodologies to improve processes and resolve quality concerns.
• Provide technical support for all QA/QC activities during installation and ongoing operations
• Perform onsite quality analysis and assessments using Lean tools and process verification methods
• Serve as the primary QA/QC contact at assigned job sites and coordinate all quality related activities
• Support implementation of cost reduction, quality improvement, and installation improvement initiatives
• Conduct Site Quality Audits and maintain records within the EHS Insight Database
• Create, distribute, collect, and review QA/QC checksheets with mechanical, electrical, and adjustment teams
• Assist with corrective actions, auditing activities, and metric reporting using root cause analysis tools
• Support training initiatives to ensure installation teams maintain high quality standards
• Collaborate with site managers and installation leadership to establish contractor expectations and quality procedures
• Address quality concerns directly and professionally with coworkers, contractors, and installation teams to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
• Analyze process gaps and help develop solutions to prevent recurring quality issues
• Utilize Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices to support investigations and process enhancements
• Work cross functionally with quality, installation, service, engineering, and customer teams
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting or monitoring QA/QC programs
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis methods
• Experience working with construction contractors is preferred
• Ability to confidently communicate quality concerns and hold teams accountable to established standards and procedures
• Bilingual English/Japanese is a plus
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, torque wrenches, and related equipment
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including possible international travel
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hands regularly throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a variety of environments including outdoor construction sites and indoor clean room facilities
This role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, chemicals, elevated noise levels, and active construction or manufacturing environments.
