Quality Assurance Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and oversee quality operations within a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with applicable aerospace and manufacturing quality standards, and leading a team focused on consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day Quality Assurance activities across manufacturing operations.
- Maintain and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards and customer requirements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality procedures, processes, and documentation.
- Lead internal and external audits, including preparation, corrective actions, and follow-up.
- Oversee non-conformance investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor quality metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve quality issues.
- Review inspection and quality data to identify trends and prevent recurring issues.
- Manage customer complaints, quality concerns, and required corrective actions.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to quality personnel.
- Ensure inspection methods, equipment, records, and procedures meet applicable requirements.
- Support supplier quality initiatives and work with vendors to address quality issues.
- Maintain accurate quality records and ensure documentation is audit-ready.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and quality throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment, with management or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Experience managing or supporting internal and external audits.
- Strong understanding of root-cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with quality documentation, procedures, inspection processes, and quality metrics.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in aerospace, metals, machining, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
