Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Greensboro, NC

Position Type: Quality

Overview: 

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for leading the Quality staff and overall quality assurance of manufactured and procured products.  The position provides quality-related support to management, operational staff and suppliers, with a keen eye for waste.  This position reports directly to the Operational Excellence Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Quality Management System is implemented and maintained, promoting awareness of customer requirements and maintaining customer focus throughout the organization.
  • Report key performance indicators monthly, with appropriate counter measures.
  • Participate in supplier development; facilitate RCCA problem solving with suppliers.
  • Interact with Customer Service investigating complaints and warranty issues.
  • Track and execute manufacturing and sales priorities daily, to meet tight schedules.
  • Support incoming inspection across local sites.
  • Support Quality representation in daily Tier meetings.
  • Develop document control program.
  • Develop and deliver effective technical training, across all levels of associates.
  • Provide management oversight for Supervisors, Quality Engineers, Technician, Coordinator and Auditors; perform reviews and design robust development plans.
  • Facilitate problem solving exercises for RCCA analysis.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Four-year technical degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent statistical skills, including development of sampling plans and data analysis.
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing quality management experience, with a history of increasing responsibilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical communications and presentation skills. Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, D365 knowledge a plus.
  • Experience in managing and developing staff.
  • Lean manufacturing methods experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally.
