**Schedule: 3rd Shift - Sunday to Thursday - 10:30 pm to 7:00 am

**Pay Rate: $22 - $23

**Job Overview

**

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Lab Technician to join their dynamic team. 

**Duties

**

  • Inspection of parts from each press at designated intervals.

  • Start-up approvals and last shot inspections.

  • Performing S.P.C. (Statistical Process Control)

  • Monitor and maintain S.P.C. (Statistical Process Control) data, including Conformance to control limits, to ensure all parts produced meet inspection requirements.

  • Isolate and properly label all questionable components and parts upon receipt.

  • Inspect parts from each press at designated intervals, including start-up approvals and last-shot inspections.

  • Contain suspect products when defects are detected and complete an Internal Corrective Action Report when necessary.

  • Continuous upkeep of all inspection records, logs, and retains.

  • Mark, tag, and maintain reference samples.

  • Follow instructions, and procedures for all aspects of the job.

  • Ensure that finished secondary parts meet customer requirements.

  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in making sure that things are being done right the first time.

  • Lead the shift pass-down meetings at the end of the shift.

  • Ensure all necessary issues are communicated to the Shift Supervisor and QA Floor Technician.

  • Other duties that may be assigned by the QA Manager.

**Qualifications

**

  • Must have an understanding of S.P.C. using various types of inspection equipment such as: micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gages, vision machine, gage pins, gage blocks, Windows PC, etc.

  • Must be able to read blueprints.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

  • Experience using vision inspection equipment; must be able to judge subtle variations in color. Color testing will be conducted after hiring and repeated every two (2) years.

**Education and Experience

**

  • High School education or equivalent.

  • Minimum one (1) year experience in an injection molding environment.

  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Q.A. environment.

  • Experience with use of vision inspection equipment

  • Must be able to interact with people well.

  • Any of the above can be deviated depending on the person’s ability to learn.

You should be proficient in:

  • Statistical process control (SPC)
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Injection Molding Experience
  • Blueprints
  • In process inspection
  • Inspect molded plastic parts
  • Measuring Tools
  • Plastics Manufacturing

Machines & technologies you'll use:
