About the Role

Position is for E2 shift. (working 7pm- 7am on a rotating 3,2,2, schedule) includes working every other weekend.

The Quality Assurance Inspector works with manufacturing personnel and professionals during the development and production process. The QA Inspector approves incoming materials and products by confirming them to engineering specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; documenting inspection results, releasing products for shipment and rejecting unacceptable materials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Prefer in descending order of significance)

  • Inspects in-process and finished products to ensure that they meet quality standards.

  • Monitors production operations to ensure conformance to specifications.

  • Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions.

  • Release product for shipment.

  • Investigate and write Nonconforming Material Reports to document deficiencies and errors in products.

  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements.

  • Facilitates calibration and verification activities of equipment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

  • Proven experience as an operator or quality control inspector in the same industry preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards.

  • Basic mathematical arithmetic, blueprint reading and attention to detail.

  • Ability to evaluate colored products to color standards.

  • Good communication skills. Recommend adjustments to the manufacturing process.

  • Team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee is required to use their hands to touch and handle objects, sit, verbally communicate, and hear.

  • The employee is required to walk and stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Closing Statement:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing regular product evaluations, recording inspection results, and recommending improvements. Other job duties and responsibilities may also be assigned by the incumbent’s supervisor at any time based upon Company need.
