Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process workflow by verifying quality requirements and specifications within delivery schedule (Daily or as needed)
- Verifies first part of production for conformance utilizing pertaining specifications, drawings, and customer workmanship standards.
- Performs First Article Inspections of initial production runs per requirements.
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout production runs.
- Check quality of material upon arrival to shop and departure from shop.
- Verification of specifications concerning products upon arrival used for product.
- Verification of all process specifications concerning product.
- Maintain Nonconformance records and reports.
- Complete Orion’s Quality System required reports and forms.
- Interface with customer representatives for evaluation of nonconforming product as needed.
- Interface with Orion Staff and customer representatives to coordinate problem solving concerning quality issues.
- Coordinate planning operations as result of nonconformance’s and opportunities for improvements.
- Performs verification of finish cell processes and product.
- Evaluation of periodic solution analysis reports and issuance of solution maintenance orders for finish cell.
Instruct Program Participants on processing work within delivery requirements (Daily or as needed)
- Role model proper work ethics, behaviors, hygiene, and dress in appropriate manner.
Teamwork (as scheduled)
- Support all members of the Manufacturing and Orion team fully to achieve agency, departmental, and personal goals, and objectives.
- Participate in team and agency meetings.
- Facilitate departmental and agency projects.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Quality assurance experience or knowledge of manufacturing utilizing various machines and processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Organizational ability.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collectively.
- Customer service skills; able to relate well to all customers internal as well as external customers.

- Frequent use of computer.

- Lifting, carrying, and pulling of 15 pounds. Maximum lift, carry or pull of 50 pounds. Objects that are heavier than 40 pounds require a team lift.
- Exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses.
- Exposure to excess noise levels, occasionally necessitating the use of Hearing Protection.
