The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for assessing product and material conformity to design specifications to ensure quality, safety standards, and ASME compliance.

As the Quality Assurance Inspector, you will ensure that products and materials meet design specifications, safety standards, and ASME compliance. Under the guidance of the Senior Fabrication Specialist, you will perform inspections, verifying dimensions, and contributing to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

You Will:

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of assemblies and components.

  • Verify product dimensions against ASME production drawings and specifications.

  • Observe air and hydrostatic tests, comparing results with established specifications.

  • Prepare and file associated inspection records.

  • Help investigate process-related quality issues.

  • Initiate non-conforming material reports and hold tags.

  • Organize the work area for efficient workflow.

  • Attend safety, departmental, and company meetings.

  • Perform assessments of products to design specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, document inspections, and determine when to report non-conforming materials or products.

You Have:

  • High School education or equivalent, with technical training preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, such as welding, metal fabrication, or assembly.

  • ASME fabrication inspection experience is a plus.

  • Basic mathematical skills with an understanding of fractions and decimals.

  • Ability to use precision measurement tools.

  • Ability to read and understand ASME production drawings and specifications.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
