General Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor/maintain/improve quality indicators both in house and supplier manufacturing. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the person in this role will support the Quality Engineering department's objective to support the overall success of the company.

- Ability to read and understand work instructions and procedures pertaining to the department.
- Champion all quality related items pertaining to mass production and new product launches (PCRs and engineering changes of current product within areas of responsibility). This shall include ensuring all quality related items are completed within the timeframes noted on internal and customer schedules and check sheets.
- Assist with countermeasures for non-compliant items found during internal or third party audits.
- Perform internal audits as directed and implement corrective and preventative actions for items that are not compliant.
- Complete product improvements requested by the customer within the allotted timeframe.
- Provide quality expertise in technical discussions with company personnel and customers. Upon receipt of customer document or issuance of NONC, immediately establish an investigative team and begin investigating nonconformance.
- Champion the investigative team during the initial investigation and implement a STCM as soon as possible to prevent additional outflow. Once STCM has been implemented, follow Toyota’s guidelines and submit STCM.
- Drive prevention of defects by utilizing process flow diagrams, PFMEA, data analysis, PDCA, SQAM required documents and other Quality elements.
- Support established rules of elevating problems, concerns or issues whether related to production or personnel.
- Create, review and revise (if required) Quality Alerts, PQCs, work instructions, data sheets, TIS, MQC and other quality related documents as needed.
- Complete assigned tasks noted on the Quality Improvement Plans and/or Hoshin and all directives of the Quality
- Manager and/or Assistant Quality Assurance Manager within the allotted timeframes.
- Train or assist in the training of quality and production personnel.
- With short notice be willing to travel to our customers, suppliers or other Futaba facilities when required.
- Implement, maintain applicable management system, processes, monitors and continually improve its results.
- Ensures that the facility is in compliance with federal, state and local environmental requirements.
- Must be able to identify and provide control plan for applicable compliance obligations.
- Must ensure the safety of work assignments and workspaces, assign safety training related to hazards, provide safety procedures and equipment, correct identified hazards (where practicable). Look into the causes of incidents and take action to prevent similar incidents and take action to prevent similar incidents and discuss safety in regular meetings and performance reviews.
