Job Overview:

Position Summary

Our qualified candidate will be responsible for quality assurance and quality improvement testing of the key performance attributes for smartphones, tablets, wearables and competitor products. You will also be involved in the testing of Samsung IOT products.
The testing is conducted as per the Samsung Quality Assurance (“QA”) lab test protocols which are based on performance measurements and QA lab testing methodologies. Subjective assessments of usability, design elements and other key performance attributes. You will provide detailed testing reports to US and Korean management which note possible risk points as well as recommendations for improvement.
Assessment and knowledge of the technical media landscape is expected to ensure Samsung products are in line with consumer expectations.
Responsible for maintaining and building lab infrastructure including problem solving and developing strategies for improvement. This will include keeping the lab up-to-date with current test equipment and developing relationships vendors. Deliver presentations internally and externally. Attend trade shows and media events representing Samsung. Research and analyze customer satisfaction index to provide recommendations to HQ.
Responsible for QA lab sample tracking (incoming and disposal). Travel as needed to support product design, manufacture and development.
Member of CTIA and Mobile World Com enthusiast preferred

Role and Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities

•Typical performance and quality assurance tests - smartphone voice quality, camera performance, audio quality, battery life, durability, UX assessment, display quality.

•Monitor Customer Service activities in Samsung’s IOT space

•Prepare reports with findings and recommendations for improvement

•Oversight of lab infrastructure, maintaining existing system for operability and research solutions for improvement when the need arises.

•Actively maintain and update technical expertise on new products and technology by attending product related media events, technical seminars or external training

•Closely collaborate with HQ counterparts to make product improvements for smartphones through detailed reporting

•Run our Connected Lab and work with key stakeholders on Family Hub issues by troubleshooting customer complaints and providing solutions

•Provide management with monthly reports on resolution of Family Hub field issues

•Research and analyze customer satisfaction index to provide recommendations and improvements to HQ

Skills and Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications

•6+ years of experience

•Bachelor Degree in Engineering or similar discipline preferred

•Experience with smartphone testing, RF Networks, Cellular communications technology, RF test equipment. Engineering, product design or product testing preferred.

•Familiar with basic, industry measurement devices and systems related to product testing.

•Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

•Proven ability to analyze information and data; perform detailed “root cause” analysis to discover new and innovative ways to improve product performance.

•Ability to write clear and concise reports, often for non-English speaking or ESL customers or counterparts.

•Ability to operate with a “customer service” mentality with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment.

•Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

•Fluency in both Korean and English preferred but not required
