Job Overview:


 

We are trying to find a smart and collaborative Quality Assurance Data Systems Technician to join our Engineering team. You will report to the Quality Assurance Engineering Coordinator and be expected to assist QA Engineers and area primary QA Technician with various tasks (including statistical data analysis, software training, gauge maintenance and verification, and initiating / contributing to Engineering Change Requests).

Here are some of the things you will be expected to accomplish: 

  • Creates annual preventive maintenance/gauge-certification plan for all inspection equipment
  • Performs/documents Measuring Uncertainty & Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility studies for all gauges
  • Initiates & monitors external certification of the inspection equipment to safeguard QDS integrity & comply with ISO9001 certification requirements
  • Coordinates inspection equipment optimizations, new gauge requests & installation of 
     transferred gauges from Blum Austria (BAU)
  • Programs new & maintains existing inspection equipment software (Komeg, CMM, etc.)
  • Coordinates QDS software & hardware upgrades with the Production & Information 
     Services departments
  • Develops, delivers & maintains Q-training as needed 
  • Proposes modifications on the existing QAG’s
  • Controls inventory for all spare parts required for inspection equipment 
  • Limited US or international travel required
  • Works shift schedule with flexibility to work whenever required
  • Perform rework sorting activities when directed
  • Complies with all safety policies & procedures 

 

Job Requirements

 

Ideally, having a minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an international company or a subsidiary of an international company will help you take on these new and challenging assignments.  

 

Additional requirements for this position include:

 

  • ASQ-CQT and/or ASQ0CCT certification is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
  • Completion of DOL approved apprenticeship program emphasizing Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training & experience can be substituted 

 

  • Ability to communicate information & ideas while speaking or writing so others will understand
  • Ability to listen, read & understand information/ideas presented by others
  • Coordination of activities & management of one’s time & the time of others to achieve daily goals
  • Obtaining, integrating & reporting data in a clear & efficient way
  • Ability to use computers & their applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photo editing software, quality documentation archive, BDK, DDA (digital drawing archive), SAP, qs-Stat (statistical software), gauge maintenance system
  • Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, costs and techniques for maximizing the manufacture and distribution of goods & services
  • Can use precision measuring devices, inspection equipment, read/interpret blueprints and calculate English/Metric conversions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to teach others complex information in an efficient & effective way
  • Effective at gathering information through interviews and other probing methods
  • Able to adapt to an international company culture
  • Limited US/International travel may be required for training purposes
