Job Overview:

Description

 The Quality and Shipping Coordinator responsible for the daily lab work, shipping and receiving material. 


  

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Cutting parts

· Mounting samples

· Checking and recording layer thickness

· Checking and recoding micro hardness

· Microstructure checks

· Titrate and maintain oil concentration in the quench tank

· Maintaining Salt Spray Tester to ASTM B-117 standard.

· Running and recording results of samples in Salt Spray Tester

· Send samples to outside lab for tensile testing

· Enter all lab data in Job Traveler

· Maintain records of Job Traveler and other lab documents per ISO 9001 standard

· Lab supply tracking

· Inventory tracking

· Non-conforming product containment control

· Communicating part sampling frequency

· Following the environment policy

· Prototype sample tracking

· PPAP activities as directed by Plant Manager

· Responsible for passing/failing loads

· Responsible to issue raw material work in process

· Enter complete finished goods records into ERP (W-I-P receipt) to make it available to ship

· Safe Forklift operation – must be licensed operator

· Safe overhead crane operation – must be licensed operator

· Responsible for R&D and other customer related quality issues as directed by the Plant Manager

· Handling all shipping / receiving for the hours of employee’s scheduled shift (overtime possible)

· Place customer orders in designated receiving areas

· Maintain clean / organized shipping and receiving areas, including outside dock areas

· Clerical responsibilities – filing, faxing and organizing paperwork

· Take direction from Plant Manager and superintendent

· Responsible for entering chemical and mechanical properties in the Cert program.

· Generate shipping documentation based on customer requirements

· Following Safety Policy

· Ensuring proper PPE use

· Operator duties when assigned

Requirements

     

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS / ABILITIES:

· Be   able to act with limited supervision while gaining general instructions from   their supervisor

· Strong   communication skills

· Preferred   experience in a manufacturing setting. 

· Past   experience with a basic knowledge of heat treat principles, microstructures,   hardness testing is preferred.  

Minimum experience requirements   include an understanding of all equipment, processes and procedures for the   operation and knowledge of all Aalberts Business Systems (Safety, 5S, ERP).

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

· HS   Diploma or GED

· Have   a general understanding of all processes and procedures for the plant,   including safety, quality, production and people.
