A growing custom equipment manufacturer is hiring a QC Test Technician to test and troubleshoot completed systems before they ship to customers. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with pumps, piping, valves, instrumentation, and electrical controls while helping ensure equipment performs as designed.

Join a close-knit team in a clean, modern facility with supportive leadership, steady business growth, and potential to move into a lead or supervisory role.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up completed equipment at a test station, connect water and electrical power, and simulate customer operating conditions.

  • Run pumps, operate valves, check pressure and flow, verify setpoints, and test for leaks.

  • Verify mechanical assembly and electrical wiring against P&IDs, drawings, schematics, and customer specifications.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and work with Engineering and Production to make corrections and retest systems.

  • Document test results, operating data, and issues, including photos or videos when needed.

  • Drain, clean, and prepare tested equipment for shipment.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of industrial equipment testing or quality inspection experience.

  • Working knowledge of pumps, piping, valves, pressure/PSI, and flow/GPM.

  • Industrial electrical knowledge, including familiarity with 120V–480V equipment, three-phase power, basic wiring, and electrical safety.

  • Ability to read P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.

  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and documentation skills.

  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), water treatment, or chemical-feed equipment experience is a plus.

  • No degree required.

Schedule & Compensation

  • First shift with a 7:00 or 8:00 AM start.

  • Typically around five hours of overtime per week.

  • $30–$41/hr during the contract period; anticipated conversion salary of $80K–$85K.

  • Additional compensation flexibility for candidates with directly relevant experience.

  • Six-month contract-to-hire opportunity, with full benefits upon conversion.
