Description
The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for the inspection and testing of all Downhole Technology parts for defects and deviations according to specifications, including parts manufactured internally, those assembled internally, and those received from outside vendors.
The incumbent is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:
- Possess working knowledge and ability to use precision measuring instruments, gages, and hand tools.
- Manage receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
- Verify first article pieces.
- Verify documentation and identification generated or related to production of the job.
- Oversee continuous elimination of waste and implement cycle time reduction.
- Maintain required attendance and punctuality as scheduled to meet production goals.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures and comply with legal regulations while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Responsible for maintaining applicable regulatory and professional standards.
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The incumbent must at a minimum possess the following:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience (one plus years) as an Inspector in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
- Ability to perform basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to liaise professionally with team members and system users.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks with moderate supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The incumbent must be able to:
- Operate basic office machines, such as a computer, copy machine, fax, scanner, etc.
- Lift a minimum of 50lbs., repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance.
- Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment.
- Wear the appropriate PPE when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.).
- Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.
