QA Product & Process Technician (2nd Shift)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Product & Process Technician to support our quality assurance and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing production processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of performance and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Inspect and test products throughout various stages of the manufacturing process.
Perform product, process, and component failure analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Support production by troubleshooting quality-related issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze statistical data and generate quality performance reports, including Cpk, LTA, and BDK reports.
Process internal, supplier, and customer quality concerns, including investigation, corrective action, and follow-up.
Manage non-conforming materials through established quality processes.
Coordinate production trials for new products, components, and manufacturing process improvements.
Recommend improvements to manufacturing specifications, product drawings, testing methods, and acceptance standards.
Initiate and support Change Request Processes (CRP) related to product quality, tooling, gauges, scrap reduction, and process improvements.
Conduct work center audits and employee qualification assessments.
Train supervisors, team leaders, and production associates on quality systems and product quality standards.
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Materials, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure consistent product quality.
Maintain accurate documentation and complete administrative activities associated with quality systems.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred

ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
Completion of a Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship program with an emphasis in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with SAP and quality management software systems.
